Year 9 History Immersive Learning Week

Despite the disappointment of the Year 9 Battlefields trip being cancelled. Year 9 history students spent a week immersing themselves in World War One and World War Two. They had an interactive Workshop on World War One and used  Virtual learning to understand life in a trench. They dug for Victory with Mrs Unwin at the Adventure Learning Garden, sewed for Make do and Mend, made ration books and cooked Spam fritters and Corn beef hash to understand the impact of rationing. The students worked incredibly hard and produced some excellent display work at the end of the week. The motto for the week was Keep Calm and Carry on!
