Uganda Visit

In July this year we are taking a group of students to our partner school, Bunjakko Island Vocational School in Uganda. Our aims whilst there are to improve the school building, support the education of the students, and work with the community to develop projects including health and the production of crops.

Just before Easter the group visited the Launceston Rotary Club, giving a fascinating presentation about the school and work they aim to do whilst there. They also talked about their own individual fundraising efforts, which have included quiz nights, golf days and discos. We have been really impressed with their effort and determination to raise money and awareness for this amazing school. The Rotary Club were equally impressed and have donated an amazing £2500 to support our work with Bunjakko. We are busy planning our trip and look forward to sharing our adventures with you later in the year. We would like to thank Launceston Rotary Club for their incredibly generous donation, part of which will be used to install solar panels in the school providing much needed power to the school community.
