|Exam: (not to be taken in 2021)
The Unit 1 Fitness for Sport and Exercise exam is the only exam-based unit and is one of four units that are completed across the two years of study.
· Learning aim A: Know about the components of fitness and the principles of training
· Learning aim B: Explore different fitness training methods
· Learning aim C: Investigate fitness testing to determine fitness levels
Students will sit their exam in Year 10 at the beginning of the summer term (April). The exam is an online-based assessment so students will sit their exam in an IT computer room.
|CGP revision guide:
How to use this resource: Students have been given a CGP revision guide. This can be used to create mind maps or quizzes. This can then be used to check subject knowledge and understanding. There are also some exam questions and quiz questions created at the end of every unit. This is particularly useful for checking and revising subject knowledge.
This book is not only useful for exam preparation but can also be used when students start their Unit 3 synoptic assessment where they will be required to apply topics from the exam to their written assignments.

How to use this resource: This resource is useful for developing an understanding of the type of questions that may be asked during the exam. This resource will also encourage students plan how to answer a variety of questions, with some useful exam technique tips provided.
|A3 sheets/Revision cards- Revision notes
How to use this resource: This resource provides and overview of the content and topics that are covered in the exam. The sheets can be cut up to create revision cards for students to test their subject knowledge before applying it to exam questions.
|Past exam question
How to use this resource: This resource contains all the past exam questions. Students can practice and answer these questions. Teachers can read these and provide feedback. This is particularly useful to check understanding and application of subject knowledge.
