North Coast Field Trip
On Friday 15th November our intrepid year 12 geographers ventured out to the wild North coast of Cornwall. Students were there to undertake an enquiry into changes in the sand dune system. As part of both the coasts and skills aspect of their course, students were investigating to see if Perranporth’s dunes followed the text book characteristics and succession expected in sand dunes. Later this year, these students will be setting their own geographical hypothesis into an area of geography of their choice. With memories of the roaring surf and windswept beach of Perranporth fresh in their minds, we hope that they feel inspired to make a success of their own enquiry projects.
