Malaria has killed more people than all wars, throughout human history, combined. It still kills over 250,000 children under five each year in Africa alone. We recently challenged the students to raise money to buy mosquito nets for students at our partner school Bunjakko Island Vocational School in Uganda.
This was a House challenge, and when the results were in on Friday, Rescorla House emerged as winners, raising £260 for this challenge. This means that we can buy 170 mosquito nets when we visit in July, this will ensure that every student at Bunjakko will be able to have a mosquito net.
Well done to Rescorla, and well done to Causley and Trevithick students who came second and third.
