Archie’s Rugby Success

After a successful season playing county rugby for Cornwall U18s, Archie Dinnis progressed through the trials system and was successful in making the cut for the 23-man South West Schools U18 Rugby Squad. He represented the region in 2 games; against London and the North of England. The first match was a difficult affair played out in the latter stages of storm Eunice. However, the second game against the North of England finished in a keenly contested draw in which Archie managed to get onto the score sheet with a well taken try. Archie also attended a training weekend at Warwick University where he attended talks from coaches and advisors on all aspects of the professional game, from nutrition to effective management of social media profiles. Due the pandemic, there are no games scheduled for an England U18 side this year, so Archie’s achievements represent the ceiling of what is possible to be achieved in terms of representative honours. We are hugely proud of his achievements and he is certainly one to keep an eye on for future successes in the sport.
