Welcome to the second half of summer term
Welcome to the second half of the summer term. I hope you are all well and have been able to enjoy the glorious weather we have had during half term.
This half term will see the small school opening extended slightly to more key worker children as some parents return to work. Please refer to the website article ‘Launceston College Summer term provision’ and email email@example.com for details of how to request a place in College for your child this half term.
Students attending College will continue to follow the same home learning programme as students studying at home. Heads of Faculty have been working with Mr Wendon, our Teaching and Learning lead, on a more structured approach to home learning for this half term. We are looking forward to sharing more curriculum information with you very soon. Thank you for all of your hard work at home doing whatever you can to support home learning. Please do continue to encourage your children to keep in touch with their teachers and tutors who can offer support.
Thank you to all the Year 10 families who responded to the Year 10 return to College survey. Plans for providing Year 10 and Year 12 with some face to face support in College will continue this week, with the potential start date now pushed back to the 15 June following government announcements last week. I will have more information to share with Year 10 and Year 12 parents and students following several planning meetings that are happening throughout the course of this week. If you requested/did not request Year 10 face to face provision via the survey and your circumstances have now changed, please email firstname.lastname@example.org .
Thank you all for the patience, understanding and support that you continue to give to the College during this unprecedented time. Your thoughtful comments and kind words are very much appreciated.
