Spanish Exchange Day 3 – "We Are Not Amused"

Queen Victoria ‘s grand daughter’s palace Palacio de la Magdalena, sits high on a headland in Santander and was visited by students this morning. It is surrounded by the sea and a vast array of beaches. One beach we learned is called Bikini Beach, so called because in 1968 to wear a bikini would have resulted in a fine or even imprisonment.
Cake and ice cream dominated the end of the day. The local cakes Quesada and Sobao were a delight and were bought up in huge amounts alongside the local Regma Helados  (Ice cream).
Tonight students have an evening with their families before a full day at a national park tomorrow.
