Sixth Form Course Entry Requirements:

A level

A general requirement of 5+ GCSE passes at grade 9-5, including minimum of grade 5 in English and grade 4 in maths, go alongside a general recommendation of at least a GCSE grade 6 in the subjects you wish to study.

Many A level subjects also have specific entry requirements. Please see specific subject information.

Students that just miss the entry requirements may still be accepted onto A level courses with additional support put in place. This will be discussed at the enrolment interview and on a student by student basis

BTEC Level 3

4+ GCSE passes at grade 4, including English and preferably maths.

Level 2 Vocational

There are no minimal requirements for GCSE grades for Level 2 courses. Additionally, students with higher grades at GCSE who would prefer to gain a vocational qualification for a specific trade or profession would also be welcome on these courses.

Whichever course you choose, if you have not achieved a Grade 4 or higher in English and/or maths at GCSE you will be required to study these subjects.

Please read the specific entry requirements on the individual subject leaflets (available by clicking on ‘Courses Offered’)
