Remote Learning Update

Dear parents and carers,

Since the start of term, we have been aiming to provide structured remote learning opportunities and a high-quality remote curriculum for students. Wherever possible, we want to provide the opportunity for students to follow their normal school timetable and maintain personal, interactive contact with their normal teachers. Thank you for your feedback on our remote learning provision so far. If you haven’t yet filled in the parent survey, and would like to, you can still do so by following this link

As we come towards the end of the second week of remote learning, we want to get the balance right between providing a clear routine and structure, and setting the right amount of work for students. It is our aim to support students to:

  • Follow the timings of their normal day, including tutor time
  • Have access to live interactions with their teachers on Google Meet
  • Have access to a range of pre-recorded instructional videos
  • Receive personal teaching and feedback on their learning

We encourage students to engage with the delivery of the online curriculum. However, we do recognise that everyone’s circumstances are different. The guidance attached is designed to add extra information to support you and your child to make choices around learning that can suit your circumstances. Below, you will find:

Thank you for your ongoing feedback and support.

Yours sincerely,

Dan Wendon
Director of Teaching and Learning
