Four Launceston College students have just returned from a visit to a vocational school in Santo Tirso in northern Portugal as part of an Erasmus project. During the visit the students visited the city of Porto and cultural sites in the Douro valley. At the school the students attended food and drink presentations and cooked a three-course meal for visiting quests at an international banquet. Three other schools from Croatia, the Czech Republic and Italy also attended the event and prepared dishes which were influenced by their own countries or regions. The Launceston students prepared a classic prawn cocktail, sardines with new potatoes and vine tomatoes, and a banana trifle.
The students from left to right are Josh Mannino, Tallulah Shaw, Hattie de Glanville and Amy Vickery.
