We also appointed Vice House Captains and these roles went to:

Causley House          Kaitlin Barnard and Kizzie Witton

Hepworth House       Jacob Fry, Bradley Hill, Charlotte Lancaster, Finlay Worth.

Rescorla House        Tommi Ellis and Sophie Lennard

Trevithick House       Alexia Osorio and Olivia Stanmore.

Year 10 Exams
As you will be aware the Y10 Pre-Public Exams (PPEs) are due to start on Tuesday morning and all students should have received their individual exam timetables. However, if they have been mislaid there is a complete Year 10 PPE timetable on the exams section of our website, which can be accessed here. We encourage all parents/carers to be familiar with this section of the College website as all exams information will be posted on here as your son/daughter moves through KS4.

One of the objectives of the PPEs is to allow students the opportunity to have a full experience of an exam season. This includes following exam protocols that are set externally by exam boards. Students have been made aware of these protocols and once again they can all be found on the exams section of our website.

However, as mobile phone, smartwatches and bags are not to be taken into the exam hall we are strongly recommending that students leave these expensive items at home on days when they have exams.

If you have any queries about any of the exam arrangements, please contact the exams officer Lynne Jenkins by email .

Year 8 Parent Teacher Meeting
This will be taking place on Thursday 05 May and a letter was sent via email to all parents/carers of Year 8 students yesterday. You can make appointments with your child’s teachers using our on-line booking system, found at the following link: also available through the College website.

The system for joining the video call appointments is straightforward, and simply involves logging in to the system at the time of the appointments, and pressing the “Join Appointments” button that will appear on screen. You can find further guidance on using the system, including system requirements, at this link:

School Immunisations
Parents/carers of students in Years 9. 10 and 11 will have received a letter prior to the Easter break regarding immunisations for DTP and MenACWY. Please complete the consent form via the link in that letter and if you have any queries please contact Kernow Health on 01872 221105.

Kernow Health are concerned that there have been a decline in the uptake of vaccines and have asked us to send to parents the attached poster which will hopefully answer any questions you have.

Performance Academy Clubs
A list of the clubs which students have signed up to is now available in the PE corridor for students to check if they have been allocated a space in their chosen clubs. There are still some spaces available so if your child would like to sign up for a club there is still availability. Please check our website for details of what clubs are running this term

Clubs start from next week (apart from golf and dance) and run from 3.15 – 4.30pm. If students need to use the after school bus they need to sign up for this in reception by the end of lunchtime at the latest to ensure they are allocated a space. They need to arrive at the after school bus at the front of College by 4.35pm.

We Will Rock You
Rehearsals for this year’s College production start on Tuesday lunchtime in DR2. If your child has a role in the performance, please remind them to attend the rehearsals. Any queries please contact Miss Mason on

With kind regards
