Parent Briefing – 26 February 2021
Dear parents and carers
Thank you for all the feedback we have received regarding the return to College on the 8th March. We are still in the process of finalising plans and these will be shared with you on Monday 1st March.
Year 9 Options
Thank you to all parents and students who have already completed and submitted their Options 2021 form. Following Year 9 Parent Teacher Meetings this week it has become apparent that there are a small number of students who may benefit from the opportunity to consult further with their teachers and tutors on their return to College in the week commencing Monday 8th March. We have therefore decided to extend the deadline for submission of Year 9 Options forms from Friday 5th March to Wednesday 17th March for students who are not yet clear about their choices. All students are able to amend their Options form up until this date by simply resubmitting any necessary amendments onto a new Google form.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming students back to College this term. Students are expected to wear full College uniform on their return to school. Please click here for the full guidance.
As the weather improves please note that the COVID addendum for the colder months no longer applies from Monday 8th March. Students will not be permitted to wear coats or hoodies indoors. Layers may be worn under uniform but these should not be visible. Hair colour should be ‘natural’ and we ask for your support to ensure that any lockdown colouring is adjusted in time for the return to College. If you have any concerns or require any support around uniform then please contact a member of your child’s House team prior to the 8th March so that they can help.
World Book Day 2021
To celebrate our love of reading and the pleasure it brings, the library is running a WBD challenge. Students have been invited to dress up a potato as a favourite book character, take a photo and email it to the firstname.lastname@example.org by 9am on Thursday 4th March for judging. Please see the item in the latest news on the website for more details.
Thank you for your continued support
