Oxford University Outreach Visit

Students in Years 9-12 had the opportunity to attend a workshop run by Claire Sims, Outreach Officer from Exeter College, Oxford, today. They were offered the opportunity to reflect on their possible academic pathways, and to think about the practical sides of applying to university. There was some healthy ‘myth busting’ and lots of information about how students from all backgrounds and all regions of the UK are welcomed to apply. We were lucky to be joined by ex-Launceston College student Emma Platt, who is currently studying English and French at St. John’s College, Oxford. Year 12 students went straight from their workshop into a series of extra-curricular presentations they had prepared to give for Professor Fenella Wojnarowska and Professor Colin Webb as part of the Aspire Programme.
