Met Office Science Camp trip

On Friday 17th May, 12 Year 7 students embarked on a trip to the Met Office in Exeter to take part in a whole range of workshops on all things weather related, and even got to camp out overnight! The students learned all about how temperature and wind affect weather patterns, got to make their own clouds, and were given a tour of the Met Office including it’s £97 million supercomputer. The camp was superbly well run by the Met Office volunteers who gave up their time to give us a wonderful insight into the work they do. They even provided us with dinner – the best food ever! The students who attended were Ashley Ruby,  Kareena McAuley, Olivia Pieniakwska, Oliver Rufus, Lauren Belringer, Charlotte Lancaster, Jazmine Willets, Connie Smart, Donna Hillman, Izzy Voaden, Buryanna Gwennap, and Megan Wilson-Llewellyn.
