Launceston College Students Support the Royal Navy
A group of six students from 9LEW had an opportunity to take part in a STEM day at RNAS Culdrose. Their task was to rescue a Merlin MK11 helicopter from crash site in the dessert. The student were asked to build a remote model of a lifting system to lift a model Merlin helicopter. The students from the college where they competed against 12 other schools in Cornwall, after all their efforts they did remarkably well and came in 3rd overall. An outstanding achievement for a very difficult and challenging day. Well done and congratulations to Louise Wakeham, Jed Williams, Abi Roberts, Maisy Iggulden, Tasha Soper, Emma Lawson.
