International House Challenge Update
The International House Challenge continued last week.
The Modern Foreign Language faculty encouraged students and their families to do a performance in either French or Spanish.
They could sing, recite or read poetry or part of a play, make jokes or maybe even do some French tongue twisters like Mrs Chudleigh did!
Thank you to all the students who took up the challenge and special well done to Mathieu Bernardi (8JEB) for his recital of a Spanish poem, and to Owen Stephens (7DSC) for his impressive drumming to the Spanish classic ‘La Cucaracha’.
Ms Bernardi also taught us some French idioms- can you guess what ‘put your tongue in your pocket’ could mean?
There’s still time to take part in the international festival, running for the whole of June.
Next week, the competition continues with the research projects category. Research a foreign artist: a painter, sculptor, writer, singer, architect, engineer, film director, etc… and prepare a written exposé about him or her.
Remember you can enter as many times as you want, do it by yourself or with your family’s help. It is all for a bit of fun but also to win yourself some house points!
Bonne chance! ¡Buena suerte!
