Intensive Learning Week
During the week of Monday 25th – Friday 29th March we are very much looking forward to a week of intensive learning activities. The aim will be to focus different year groups onto intensive and vibrant learning activities based around common themes. During this week, Year 7 will be working with the Expressive Arts faculty, Year 8 with the Design and Enterprise faculty and the RNLI, Year 9 will be on residential to either France, Spain, the Battlefields, the Eden Project, Dartmoor, Treyarnon Bay or with the Island Trust. In addition we are running an intensive revision and study skills week with Year 10 and Year 11 students; look out for Wellbeing Wednesday amongst many interactive English, maths and science based activities.
The week will be a full one and to accommodate this we will change the usual College day for one week, so to have 3 x 100 minute lessons each day instead of the usual 5 x 1 hour slots. We of course appreciate that for some prior notice of this change is useful although important that the start and end of the day will be identical to normal;
We are all excited about this week and look forward to students being able to show off and discuss their learning and outcomes of what we hope will be a really positive and memorable experience for everyone.
