Immersive Learning Week at the Eden Project
Last week 44 year 9 students spend Immersive Learning Week at the Eden Project competing in teams to plan a mission to Mars.
On Monday they were tasked with building a geodesic dome large enough to fit the team inside.
Once we got to Eden the teams were occupied with deciding which plants to take with us, building hydroponic growing systems, designing a space station, creating a Martian ecosystem and assessing each other’s personality for suitability for space travel. The week was finished off with an intense astronaut training programme including climbing, abseiling, free fall training and a base-jump simulator.
Congratulations to everyone who took part, you all passed with flying colours!
