Welcome to the Drama Department

Drama is a part of the College’s Expressive Faculty.  We have a spacious purpose built studio complete with a dedicated control area and full lighting rig. The studio is fairly flexible in terms of audience seating of up to fifty persons.

Alongside is a seminar/ office/ kitchen area known as the drama lounge.  There is scenery storage in another part of the site.

The space has a wiring loom that enables up to 24 microphone/audio inputs and similar video tie-lines.

The department has a Zero88 Fat Frog DMX lighting board and an Alan and Heath sound mixing board. The faculty has access to full sound equipment for stage use. A professional comms system is fitted.

Some lessons take place in a large space known as The Old Hall. This is equipped with lighting but is transformed for major  productions by opening up access to the Gymnasium which becomes a stunning stage area.
