Eleanor Reaches the Summit

During a recent holiday to Scotland, Eleanor Hallett (10KW) and her brother, Edward who is a former student of Launceston College, climbed to the top of Ben Nevis. It is the UK’s highest summit at 1345m and took them about 3 hours to complete. The summit at Ben Nevis stays in cloud around 90% of the time as you can see from the photo! Eleanor also climbed another Scottish mountain called Stob Ban, meaning White Peak in Gaelic, which has a summit of 999m. Eleanor found an interest in walking with her brother after Edward signed up to take part in Ten Tors with the College team but this was then cancelled due to the pandemic.

Well done Eleanor, what a fantastic achievement.
