CERN Visit

Last week 21 Year 12 and 13 students went to Geneva to visit the largest scientific experiment in the World. They had the chance to go 100 metres underground to visit one of the 4 detector sites on the Large Hadron Collider, the Compact Muon Solenoid. Although they neither discovered any new particles or met Professor Brian Cox, everyone had a good time learning about the nature of the very first moments of the Universe.
