Cambridge Chemistry Challenge for Lower Sixth
Since the autumn, a number of Year 12 students have been spending Friday lunchtimes with Dr Lancaster to prepare for the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge for Lower Sixth (or C3L6). The questions are based on AS chemistry content, but tend to be very abstract. The students prepared by looking at various cryptic chemistry questions where they had to say what they saw (a bit like the TV show Catchphrase). The actual paper was 90 minutes of very challenging problems which required real determination to get through. Particular congratulations to Zoë Woods who got a copper award and to James Kenyon who got a silver award.
