Astronomy open to all at Launceston College
The Science Faculty are pleased to announce that Mr Piper’s after school Astronomy class is now able to resume. Lessons will be held in S4 on Thursday P6, running from 3:15 to 4:15 (please make any arrangements necessary for getting home afterwards, such as signing up for the after school minibus). The course is open to all students (and staff) that have an interest in the night sky and wish to learn more about constellations and star gazing, our solar system, the formation and life cycle of stars, and cosmology. There is an option to work towards taking an additional GCSE once individuals have completed the course, if they want to, but this is by no means compulsory. If you are interested, please speak to your science teacher, or Mr Piper.
